The Plains Indians took great pride in the capture of horses. The honors received after a successful horse raid was one that many braves looked forward to.
Having captured two fine ponies, this warrior is making his way back to the safety of his camp. Haste is of the essence as the chances of pursuit are great when the prior owner's prized war pony was taken. © Steven Lang OPAM
